1. Watch the sun-set
Beaches have some of the most beautiful sun-sets! Just sit on the sand and let the view overwhelm you, the sky with its changing hues, the sun leaving the sky and merging with the waters, the seamless horizon!

2. Cruise the waves
This is one of the most exciting & relaxing activities for a beach vacation. Board a cruise liner and enjoy the smell of the sea! Most cruises also have live performances by local artist to keep the tempo high & brimming!

3. Savour the local alcohol
Most coasts have their very own peculiar version of liquor, like a fermented drink with that fruity flavour! For the experimental you, it’s a must try!

4. Explore an island!
During your cruise, keep your radar strong and identify an island you might want to explore. Take a motor-boat and find your way to the island. Nothing can beat the thrill of exploring land amidst the sea or ocean. Feel like Columbus! Walk around the island and have fruits to satiate your hunger... experience the Stone Age!

5. Get water-sporty
To feel your adrenalin gush, try a water-sport. There is always a host of these available like snorkeling, diving, para-sailing!

6. Sea-food
What is a beach holiday without some exotic sea-food! Try delicacies like crabs, lobsters, asparagus, jumbo prawns, fish, local coconut curries and there you go… yummm!!!

7. Shop on the Mall
Beaches have some of the liveliest shopping halts. Locate one near your hotel and go pick up some cool beach-wear, bandanas, straw hats, floral-print shirts and skirts!

8. Turn into a photographer!
The vivacity of the waves, the towering coconut and palm trees, the coral flooring of the seas are bound to get you clicking your digital camera incessantly! Carry enough memory cards and explore the photographer inside you. And, if you could, get yourself a camcorder too and make small little videos. You are going to love watching them over and over again even tens of years later!

9. Get spiritual
Beaches for some reason are known to have some of the most beautiful churches around the world! Ask the local people for directions and go visit one. You are sure to enjoy the tranquility and of course the architecture!

10. Get festive!
Plan your vacation during the carnival season and let the craze surround you! Dance on the streets, try your luck at the casino, sample exotic dishes…create memories!
